slow walkers. people that press a button that’s already lit in the elevator – NOT GOING TO GET US THERE ANY FASTER BUDDY. even numbers (i’ll even change the volume/temperature so it’s an odd one). elbows. when people take up the ENTIRE escalator (the brits know how this works). people that don’t know the difference between your and you’re. when people sign things “best”.
i love pet peeves.
not my own of course, but learning about others. it reveals something important about them. obviously mine reveal that i’m impatient (a surprise to everyone who knows me) and i hate fakeness (again, shocking i know).
my mom hates when people drive with pets in their laps. doesn’t really know why, just drives her mad (it’s because she’s a paranoid driver). my brother can’t stand the sound of silverware hitting someone’s teeth when they eat (it’s probably because i would do it all the time to annoy him).
other ones: socks with sandals, people who put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cars in separate lanes on a two lane highway and neither will pass the other one.
i feel like that’s the best part of friendship – when you just know the each other’s pet peeves and bad habits and laugh when you know others are driving them mad. my friend kik knows i lose earring backings allll the time, it’s a pet peeve of myself. she literally has an entire jewelry box full of them and will give them to me. i know she will turn irrationally angry when people don’t run yellow lights.
anywho, what are your pet peeves?
now let’s talk food. i loove this salad. it’s just this perfect mix of sweet and light and still so good. i have a fruit problem. if i had to pick one meal to have the rest of my life, it would for sure be fruit. i love all of it. i was the kid that wanted thirds of fruit salad.
add poppyseed chicken or don’t – either way it’s perfection. i add chicken when i just need a little extra umph. oh and goat cheese would be good on this. I’ve said it before but i just feel like cheese isn’t a must have on a salad.
alsoo – i have a homemade dressing that goes with this – but i, er, well forgot an ingredient and the store is a whole two blocks away and i ran a race yesterday soo – i get a lazy pass right? i’ll post soon though, i promiseeeee. if i don’t, you can show me your elbow and press every button on the elevator. you can consciously uncouple from me.
