- To the Parkland kids. The ones speaking up. Speaking out. Hurt, and scared and having gone through a horrific experience but are being brave in spite of it. Armed with their AP government notes and the strength that can only be realized when it’s been tested, they fight. For change. For children. So someone else doesn’t have to go through it. For knowing they don’t know everything, they might not even know how to fix it, but know that something has to change. For knowing they have the power to inflict that change.
- To those standing up for them. For giving them a microphone. For standing behind them. Marching beside them. - This article made me pause, sit back and think. I’m going to send it to my brother and dad and get her thoughts. I won’t apologize for championing the steps women have taken – it’s deserved and well overdue. But is this true too? Is this a symptom or the root of the issue? It’s true that girls are rarely the shooters, especially when we’re talking about school shootings. Are boys broken like this article says?

- To being better. There’s a lot of heaviness these days – you watch the news everyday and it leaves you (me) feeling defeated. So tomorrow, let’s do something kind. The smallest of gesture even, I think the world could use it.
- This photo is from Portugal. Have you been? I just got back and it was incredible. Do you want to see more travel posts? Let me know.
