these supermooons are really messing with my mojo.
yes, i have mojo. i say mojo.
you guys. i’ve studied this. this full moon business is at least as real as scientology. (which sidenote- has anyone seen leah remini’s reality show. i mean king of queens to TLC – makes true tori look like an upgrade).
when there’s a full moon – i can’t sleep. i have vivid dreams. and things tend to go wrong.
i was nearly hit by a car on michigan ave this morning. like not just “nearly.” like, two inches away, heart pounding, adrenaline rushing “nearly”.
then i dropped all my papers on the floor. then i said something stupid at a meeting. then i tripped. in a hallway. full of people.
then i was walking home and there was this hot guy. i mean, tall, lean, well-dressed – hottttttt. and what happens to full moon cursed me? i nearly run into a pole and then in the process of looking back at the pole, i trip. over my own feet. pretty sure hot guy is still trying to track me down and ask me out. that’s one way to get a guy’s attention.
they’re silly petty things, but it’s like i’ve decided to test murphy’s law. and turns out, it’s a real thing.
i’ve told you how i’m not very lucky. i mean, i ran into a glass door at a client meeting. no no, i should say during a client meeting. fun fact: we’re having another one on wednesday. i wouldn’t be surprised if there was a betting pool about what will happen this time around. personally, i’d go with catering mishap or wardrobe malfunction. just in case any of you are throwing some money in.
i get it, murphy – you win.
here’s hoping it’s going to turn around. and this doesn’t happen to you.
so food. this pasta salad is perfect for the summer and entertaining. it’s colorful and fresh and light but filling. and so so easy to make. you can make it your own. add more veggies – add green beans or cucumbers.
