Rose Sangria

And rose? Hello, welcome to my happy place.

the best thing about this crazy summer is i’ve gotten to spend lots of time at my lake house with my family and some of my best friends. i can’t explain what that place is like – or how grateful i am for it – it is truly a magical place. it feels like all we do is eat, drink and pretend to be mermaids….which pretty much sums up my favorite things in life.

At the lake, there’s always a reason to celebrate, to toast a friend – if only because we’re lucky enough to be enjoying this lake life with this crew that feels like chosen family.

so after drinking a case of wine (party of one) i decided we needed to add some jazz hands to this dance routine with a little signature cocktail. it’s summer – so it had to be light and refreshing – and pretty. i’ve made a red sangria, but if possible – this one is even betta. No sugar added (I’m convinced it’s not my lack of sweet tooth, it’s really NOT necessary). let’s say it together – bikini bodddddd.

but it turned out sooooo good. i photographed the drinks and then poured one into a pontoon-approved plastic sippy cup (an adult version, relax) and went for a little ride around the lake (not by myself, with people my parents pay to be me friends). except, lush that i am, I guzzled it like a poor man in the middle of the sahara because it was so divinely smooth and by the time i came back – i’m pretty sure i was actually doing jazz hands down the dock.

no photos can confirm or deny this allegation.

rose all day <—— don’t break up with me.
